An Introduction - Referenced throughout this chronicle are ten dogs who were taken into custody by the County of Monroe on March 6, 2011.

Three of those dogs, Monroe, Reilly, and Dusty, are in the county's custody, currently being held in quarantine at the MCAC facility. These dogs have been condemned to die, but God willing, they do not know this as they continue to wait for their fair measure of accurate and true characterization, balanced justice, and humane treatment.

One of the dogs, Razzle, has been awarded to the custody of the Buster Foundation, she is currently in basic obedience and good manners training, preparing to test for Canine Good Citizenship certification, and participating in dock-diving.

These four dogs have come to be known as the MC Quad, named this by one of their strongest advocates, Operations Director of the Buster Foundation, Joanie Wazney.

Three of the dogs, Maximum Punishment, Sid Vicious, and Marvin, died while in the custody of MCAC.

One of the dogs, Justice, was found on the property already deceased.

Two of the dogs, Little P and Morgan, simply fell off the map after being held in quarantine at the MCAC facility for more than three months. Monroe SPCA and two other organizations, the Pomeranian Club of Michigan and Detroit Bulldog Rescue, offered to receive these two dogs into their respective rescue programs and pursued their release, beginning on March 7, 2011 as well. Their current status is unknown, other than "they're gone." This was the statement Monroe County Prosecutor, William Nichols made at a Monroe County Board of Commissioners meeting, Tuesday, August 9, 2011, when asked about their whereabouts and fate.

The following chronicle of events regarding the MC Quad, as well as six others, will perhaps help to answer why Monroe SPCA and The Buster Foundation, have advocated for and pursued justice so vigorously on behalf of all of the dogs, as well as why both organizations fight now for the lives of Monroe, Reilly, and Dusty; and will, without hesitation, continue to do so in the future.
